CP wanting to play defense????

I heard Clinton Portis talk about this but I think he was joking about it more then trying to say he really wants to do it.  He was saying he was up for anything even playing Defense.

I am very happy to hear that this is just Clinton Portis talking and showing his willingness to do anything that is asked of him. The Redskins need him healthy and on the field in the backfield as our featured back.

Clinton Portis is a team player , so he says he wants to play defense, well we know that would be suicidal for our running game to allow such a crazy act.  But , I like his enthusiasm......

Sanders was a defensive player that wasnt a hitter , but a  great pure cover guy, transferring to Offense was a lot easier because Sanders was a wide out on the offense, he had  very little contact and was used for the long ball.  Portis is just up to his funny little games and it just shows me that he is willing to do whatever is needed to win.........gotta love him for his crazy antics......

but , I don't think it would ever be taken seriously by Zorn or any other coaches!..........Zorn  isn't going to jeopardize  our running game that should be awesome with the WCO in place. Portis , if he stays healthy could possibly have the best season of his career "if the oline stays healthy."  He isn't afraid of contact , thats for sure, he is one of the best blocking rb's in the league.  What this does show me is the Redskin players are pumped up and are having fun working with Zorn and that in itself is paramount!  I am looking forward to this season with alot of good things happening for the Skins.  Zorn IMO is perfect for this job........he will be the next surprise from the Holmgrem coaching tree.......look out NFC East!!!!!

The only offensive player that I would like to see play defense is Malcolm Kelly in the endzone to prevent a lucky Hail Mary catch at the end of the game.

I love Cp. As the featured back for the Skins. There is no doubt about it that CP is one of our hardest hitters. Remember what happened to him two years ago in the pre-season??? Are season was never quite right.. granted that was on an interception but it was in the pre season.

I am pumped that he would lay it all on the line and play any position Zorn needs. I just don't ever want any comparison of Deion Sanders to anyone in a Redskins jersey. What a disgrace for the burgundy and gold.

I can't wait for kickoff!!!!!!
