Gonzo, I too have had the name Mike Schmidt in my head when I see Evan play. While he is not anywhere near the hitter Schmidt was right now, he has the potential to do so. He has the power that Mike had and needs to find consistency, that will come in time and learning how to change his swing when needed. Evans play in the field however is much better then Smmidt and has a much bigger range, a lot of balls that ive seen Longoria get too, Mike never would have even gotten an OLE' at. I loved to watch Scmidt play and like you see a little resembelance between the two, both gritty get it done guys that will do whatever it takes to get the job done.
