One thing that was concealed this regular season is that this team has no heart. Everything came too easy for them in the regular season. They were never pushed. Most of their games were wrapped up, or close to it with a lot of time left. This postseason, they've had to fight for every point they score, and it's been an eye-opening experience for Celtics' fans. Atlanta and Cleveland have been getting offensive rebounds ,second chance points, and loose balls while the Celtics wallow with limited energy. Watching them play in games 4 and 6 makes me hope they lose game 7 on Sunday. Why should a team showing no heart advance to play in the next series? The Celtics are extremely fortunate they didn't lose this series in 5 or 6 games. How bad do these guys actually want to win a championship? It doesn't seem like they have the fire to be champions. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they lose game 7. If you need your home crowd every game to get you amped enough to go out and win, then you're simply not a champion. If they lose Sunday, the only thing I'll remember about this season is how they tanked it come playoff time. 66 wins doesn't mean anything when you embarrass yourselves with such a pitiful effort. Even if they win game 7, they haven't proven a damn thing. This has been pathetic to watch over the last month now. I'll watch Sunday to see if the Boston Garden crowd can win game 7.

Yes, but none of the other teams have done it with the Atlanta Hawks... and to be fair to those other teams, the Jazz, Lakers, Hornets, and Spurs are worlds better than the Cavaliers as well.
There is something missing from this teams play right now, especially on the road. It was rare to see them beaten to so many loose balls, give up so many offensive rebounds and second chance points. At one point in the 2nd quarter (before the Cavs went on their 22-2 run) the Celtics were shooting 45% and the Cavs were shooting 28%, but the Celtics were only winning by 3 freakin' points!! The Cavs killed us on the offensive boards, they killed us on 2nd chance points, and as soon as we stopped going to the basket and our jump shots wouldn't fall the Cavs started hitting shots and opened up a huge lead the Celts never could catch up to.
As I watch the games I find myself wondering if Kevin Garnett feels like he's back with the Timberwolves, because he's essentially left to do it on his own... with the exception of Game 5 Paul Pierce has been nothing but a role player offensively, and Ray Allen has been embarrassingly bad. After Games 1 and 2 the bench players have been non-existent as well. The Celtics may well prevail and win Game 7, and they should, but I no longer see them being able to compete with the teams out West or even the Pistons. Detroit won 2 straight games without their best overall player (Chauncey Billups) including one on the road. Detroit is locked in, and the Celts are folding, I'd love to see us change it around, take out the Cleveland LeBrons and step it up; but I'm not banking on it.

I'm going to take a "glass is half full" stance. While I'm certainly disappionted in the Celtics efforts on the road, they are almost the exact opposite at home. Why that home mentallity isn't translating into better road performances is puzzling, but as long as they play well at home I'm holding out hope they will bring that fire on the road if they move into the next round.
Yeah, the Pistons have been playing well, but they certainly have NOT played a team with the defensive intensity that the Celtics bring game after game.

the only game Powe played significant minutes in was Game 2 . . 11 pts 7 rebounds in 28 minutes . . good stats . . since then his playing time has dwindled . . . I don't know . . I would thought with Perk in foul trouble . . .Powe might be good fit . . he doesn't have the size of Baby Baby . . but i'm sure he can defend Ilgaskus on the outside shots fine . . .
Im wondering who the goat will be if they lose this series . . Doc, KG, Pierce, Ray Ray (probably all of the above)
