The rally began when Scherzer walked opposing SP Armando Galarraga, who had struck out in his first major-league at-bat in the third inning. It was one of four walks for Scherzer, who struck out five and allowed two unearned runs and three hits in five innings. "Too many walks," Scherzer said after falling to 0-2. "Walking a pitcher.
