Cueto Ks 10 during no decision: Reds SP Johnny Cueto had just one bad inning Tuesday against the Padres and was able to hang with Jake Peavy during a no decision. The Padres scored three times in the third off the 22-year-old Cueto, who settled down and wound up striking out 10. Brian Giles hit a two-run double in one of his favorite ballparks -- he's a .329 career hitter at Great American -- and scored on a single by Adrian Gonzalez. Cueto gave up four hits, but needed a career-high 120 pitches to get through six innings. (Updated 07/22/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Cueto is winless in his last three starts and has given up 13 earned runs in that span. He also has 22 strikeouts in his last 18 innings. Cueto has electric stuff and will likely be a solid Fantasy pitcher down the road. Right now, he is suffering through his rookie inconsistency. Cueto remains a low-end Fantasy SP. His next scheduled start is for Monday against the Astros. He is on track to be a two-start pitcher Fantasy Week 18 (July 28-Aug. 3) with his second start coming against the Nationals. Both starts are on the road where Cueto is 2-6 with a 5.48 ERA. (Updated 07/22/2008).
