The Sports Xchange reports that Nationals RP Chad Cordero, who tore his right latissimus dorsi muscle on April 29 against the Braves, said his rehab is on schedule so far. He is still expected to be out another month, but began a weight program to strengthen his shoulder Friday. "I'm trying to do a little bit more, but trying not to do it to the point where it's going to hurt or anything like that. Everything we're doing right now is to make sure it's getting stronger, stretching out and nothing else gets worse." (Updated 05/10/2008).
Injury Report
Shoulder - 15-day DL. Out until at least mid-June (Updated - 5/2/08)
Fantasy Analysis
Cordero has been on the DL twice this season. He has a 2.08 ERA in 4 1-3 innings. Cordero's closing duties are being handled by Jon Rauch, who earned his sixth save in eight opportunities in a 3-2 victory over Pittsburgh on Thursday night. Keep him reserved in NL-only and deeper mixed formats until mid-June. (Updated 05/10/2008).
