Angels add Brown as infield depth: After beating Chicago 3-2 on Sunday, the Angels purchased the contract of infielder Freddy Sandoval, and recalled infielder Matt Brown and catcher Bobby Wilson from Salt Lake. Brown, who is 1-for-18 in nine career games, was batting .320 with 21 homers and 67 RBI in Triple-A. Wilson, who went 1-for-1 in his major league debut with the Angels on April 28, was batting .312 with four homers and 45 RBI in Triple-A. To make room for Sandoval on the 40-man roster, Los Angeles released minor league pitcher Jeff Kennard.
