MLB.com reports that Rangers manager Ron Washington plans on inserting Frank Catalanotto in the lineup Tuesday against a righty pitcher. That start could come at first base at the expense of Chris Shelton and Ben Broussard, who have been splitting time there. "I'm going to try and get Cat in there [Tuesday] some kind of way," Washington said. (Updated 05/06/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
The Rangers have been employing a platoon-style system at first base ever since calling up Shelton from Triple-A, but Shelton has seen five of the last seven starts in the last week and is emerging as the primary first baseman. Catalonotto's start at first doesn't figure to be a regular thing and Shelton is still the Texas 1B to own in AL-only Fantasy play. Catalanotto has appeared in just two games in the last seven days and is a poor play in Fantasy until that ratio changes. (Updated 05/06/2008).
