MLB.com reports Dodgers OF Andruw Jones did not start Monday against the Reds because of a swollen and sore right knee, according to manager Joe Torre. Matt Kemp started in center field in Jones' absence. Torre felt Jones' knee injury contributed to his 3-for-20 slide on the team's recent road trip. "He's had a cranky right knee," Torre said. "It's just a combination where he has struggled with the bat and he's flying out on the front side. I just decided to give him the night off." (Updated 05/20/2008).
