It's too bad the Rox just swung at anything Maddux threw tonight. They really wasted a pretty good outing by Jimenez. He struck out 11 tonight. One could argue that he completely out-pitched Maddux tonight save the fact that the Rox were undisciplined at the plate tonight and swung on the first pitch way too many times.   The next week could be very important in closing the gap between the D-Backs and the Rockies. The D-backs have lost 5 of their last 7. The Rockies are playing their best ball in the last 2 games and go into San Diego who has been struggling. After the 3 games with the Pads the Rox will go to Az for 3 against the D-backs. I know it is early, but wow Herrera impressed me.  Jayson Nix was here for a month and never flashed the glove that Herrera flashed on Sunday alone.  He also had a hit with a runner in scoring position to drive in a run.  I like Barmes, Baker and Quintilla as much as the next guy, but I think Herrera might just be the future for us at 2b.  Can you imagine how good our middle in ...(more)
