Andrew Miller poised and potent in Marlins' win: Young left-hander solid through six - South Florida Sun-Sentinel

May 5--MIAMI GARDENS -- If several years from now Andrew Miller has any recollection of Sunday's game, he hopes it's vague. That he helped deny Greg Maddux his 350th win notwithstanding, a hazy memory would probably mean this was just another early victory in a long, successful career.

Olsen pounded by Dodgers in Marlins' loss - South Florida Sun-Sentinel

MIAMI GARDENS - Dodgers right-hander Chad Billingsley looked like the ace Wednesday night at Dolphin Stadium, and Marlins left-hander Scott Olsen and his relievers looked like something far less.

Rumor Mill
It was less than a year ago the Marlins had a deal in place to acquire the left-handed hitting Jacque Jones from the Cubs. Apparently, the Marlins' front office was so overwhelmed with questions about the outfielder that it felt compelled to issue a blanket no-comment through the media relations staff. The Sun-Sentinel reports that it was peculiar, because rarely do the Marlins confirm or deny interest in anybody. (updated: 05/07/2008)
