--SS Erick Aybar could be headed to the disabled list after dislocating the pinkie on his right hand while making a diving stop of a groundball up the middle in the first inning Tuesday. Aybar jammed his hand into the turf as he dove and bent the finger back. He left the game immediately. X-rays were negative, but Aybar is scheduled to be examined by a hand specialist in Toronto on Wednesday.
--Going into their three-game series in Toronto this week, the Angels' winning percentage at the Blue Jays' Rogers Centre (formerly Skydome) is their lowest at any current American League stadium -- .344 (32-61). That includes an 18-38 record in Toronto since 1996.
--While 3B Chone Figgins is ready to return from his hamstring injury, 2B Howie Kendrick has gone "back to the drawing board" in trying to recover from his more severe hamstring strain. Kendrick resumed "light baseball activities" (agility drills and batting practice) Tuesday for the first time in five days. Kendrick has been out since April 13 and aggravated the injury during an injury-rehabilitation assignment two weeks ago. He has resumed a strengthening program, but there is no date for him to resume his rehab assignment.
--With his victory in Toronto on Tuesday, RHP John Lackey is now 12-2 with a 2.46 ERA and two shutouts in his past 14 starts on the road.
--OF Garret Anderson went hitless in four at-bats Tuesday, snapping his eight-game hitting streak. Anderson is still batting .444 (16-for-36) in his past nine games and .396 (21-for-53) in his past 14 games.
