Fantasy Analysis
During the first half of the season, when the Blazers were playing above and beyond expectations, there was even some Brandon Roy-for-MVP talk. That was a little premature, but that's the type of player Roy projects to be throughout his career. He's a point-forward type in the mold of a LeBron James who is yet to be fixed into a position at the NBA level. The Blazers have talked about making him a point guard, but that hasn't happened of yet. Wherever he plays in 2008-09, he could project to be a 20-5-5 type and will be worthy of a selection in the first few rounds in all leagues. He'll have Greg Oden around to possibly raise his assist totals. To that same end, it could have a slight negative impact on his scoring. (Updated 05/13/2008).
