Fantasy Analysis
Williams, the third-overall selection in the 2005 draft out of Illinois, averaged 18.8 points and 10.5 assists in the '07-'08 season. He was also selected to be part on the U.S. Olympic team for next month's games in Beijing. He's going to be a candidate for 20 points and 10 assists in his fourth NBA season and will be an elite Fantasy guard for the next decade or so if he can stay healthy. He's playing the John Stockton role in Utah's system and is an even better scorer. He'll be a top pick in Fantasy. (Updated 07/18/2008).
Williams signed a contract extension with Utah on Friday that will keep him with the Jazz through at least the 2011-12 season. (Updated 07/18/2008)
Advice
Williams, who still had one year left on the rookie contract he signed after the Jazz picked him third overall in the 2005 NBA draft, signed a three-year deal with a one year option. Terms of the contract were not released. Williams has led Utah to the last two Northwest Division titles, and is also a member of the U.S. Olympic basketball team that will play in China next month.
