Allen (personal) plays in clincher: Celtics G Ray Allen, who rushed from Staples Center after the Lakers' 103-98 win Sunday night due to "health issues" involving one of his three children, was able to play in Game 6 of the NBA Finals Tuesday night when Boston was able to clinch the NBA Finals with a resounding 131-92 win. Allen scored 26 points -- with a Finals record seven three-pointers -- and averaged 20.3 points in the series. (Updated 06/18/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Many thought Allen could have been named Finals MVP, but that honor went to Paul Pierce. But Allen's numbers during the 2007-08 regular season (17.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists) were his lowest since the 1998-99 season -- his third NBA season. He played his first NBA season alongside two top NBA stars -- Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett -- and all three players saw a decline in scoring numbers, as expected. Now that they have to share the scoring load, there just isn't enough touches for Allen to average 26.4 ppg as he had in 2006-07. Allen still managed to put together a productive season for Fantasy owners and remains one of the better sources for three-point shooting, but Fantasy owners will have to temper expectations for all of the Boston Three Party members.
