Kirilenko comes up big in OT, Jazz even series with Lakers 2-2
Andrei Kirilenko blocked Kobe Bryant twice in overtime and converted a three-point play with 35 seconds remaining as the Jazz beat the Lakers 123-115 on Sunday, tying the Western Conference semifinals at 2-2.

Lakers space out as Jazz play a winning tune - The Orange County Register, Calif.

SALT LAKE CITY - The backdrop was Derek Fisher coming back to the same court where exactly one year ago he finished off what he has described as "life in a day," starting with his infant daughter's cancer surgery in New York and ending with his clutch performance to help the homestanding Utah Jazz to a second-round playoff victory.

Lakers report: Getting inside
The Lakers' belief that they are the best passing team in the NBA has been shaken in two recent losses in Utah

Lakers report: Notes, quotes
--The Lakers were 6-0 in the playoffs -- when every other playoff team had lost at least twice -- but proceeded to lose their next two games to Utah.

Lakers report: Roster

Starters -- Point guard Derek Fisher, Shooting guard Kobe Bryant, Small forward Vladimir Radmanovic, Power forward Lamar Odom, Center Pau Gasol

Lakers survive drama-filled journey to this point - The Orange County Register, Calif.

LOS ANGELES - There will be a team in their future that can guard the Lakers, maybe, but not for a week or two.

Will a Lakers-Jazz series play to a different tune in Utah? - The Orange County Register, Calif.

LOS ANGELES - Two home games, two home victories and suddenly it's like we've been watching Serena Williams instead of Deron Williams, watching lobs but not alley-oops.

Sore back giving MVP Bryant problems
Kobe Bryant met the media Monday with a new companion -- an electronic stimulating device hooked up to his sore lower back.

Lakers forward Turiaf ejected for flagrant foul

One year ago, Kobe Bryant asked to be traded from the Lakers. What a difference a year makes, as the superstar now appears fully content to remain a Laker until he retires. "Yeah, I am, absolutely," Bryant said in a comment printed in the Rocky Mountain News. "I've always wanted to be here. But I just felt like I was in a position before where I didn't have a choice ... My legs aren't as young as they used to be." (updated: 04/22/2008)

It's a couple hours before tip-off of game #4 between the Utah Jazz and Our Lakers.

Well, Games 1 and 2 ... the Lakers had their way on their home court and came away with the wins.

Game 3 ... The Jazz held serve in the 1st game on their home court

Can we please get a recount.  Giving the MVP to Kobe Rapist Bryant because he "hasn't got one yet and he's been in the league 12 years" is a terrible reason to give it to him.  I don't think it is coincident that Derek Fisher shows up and all of a sudden the ...(more)

It's no secret who has been the least effective Laker in this series vs. Utah. It's the guy with a +/- that is a combined -32 over the last two games. Jordan Farmar is killing the Lakers.

So what do you do? You're Phil Jackson right now ...(more)

It's not a new fact that the Jazz are awesome at home. They can take their home games we will take ours - done deal (as long as Kobe's back is ok).

(POLL) I can't really debate the results of the Shaq/Kobe era ... there are 3 Banners at Staples as proof of their dominance.  BUT as a Laker fan now ...  Which "style" of Laker basketball do you prefer, the inside dominance of Shaq (back in the day) and a more "youthful" Kobe  or a more finesse style of a Gasol with a "team oriented" Kobe?

Kobe Bryant deserves the MVP after leading the Lakers to the best record in the Western Conference. The only question remaining for the Lakers is the health of center Andrew Bynum.
