According to the New York Daily News, Donnie Walsh is expected to get a head coach in place before he works on filling the general manager position. Mark Jackson is still the leading candidate, although recently fired Mavs coach Avery Johnson will likely be interviewed, as Johnson's style of discipline fits with the kind of coach Walsh likes. Former Pacers coach Rick Carlisle has also interviewed recently for the position. (updated: 05/04/2008)
