Jazz report: Notes, quotes
--Jazz guard Ronnie Price was drilled by Ronny Turiaf on a second-quarter flagrant foul. Price was driving baseline when Turiaf led with his forearm after the whistle and sent Price crashing to the floor. Turiaf was ejected while Price banged his head to open a bloody gash. He needed four stitches to close the gash above his right eye. Price came through with a three-point play in the fourth quarter and made the play of the game after that, chasing down Luke Walton to block his lay-up bid from behind. After the game, Price said he didn't think Turiaf meant to hurt him and didn't think the Lakers forward should be suspended when the play is reviewed by the league. "I don't think he had any bad intentions on fouling me like that," Price said. "It's basketball. Things happen. I'm over it, and I hope that whatever happens with him is not too critical." --The Jazz played their first Sunday home game in nearly seven years, though owner Larry Miller did not attend, citing religious reasons. The game was sold out and the crowd watched as the Jazz improved to 41-5 at home this season. There were cheers each time a "We love Booz -- Even on Sunday" sign was shown on the video board. The Jazz last played a Sunday home game in January 2001 against Phoenix. QUOTE TO NOTE Copyright (C) 2008 The Sports Xchange. All Rights Reserved.
