Overview
Versatile playmaker whose lack of traditional size and strength raises concerns among scouts - even though Breazell has suffered no significant injuries throughout his career and appeared in 43 career games. UCLA's most productive outside threat in recent years, Breazell has experience as a receiver, runner of reverses and kick returner - versatility teams will value highly in the late rounds. He has a flair for the big play - seven of his career 11 touchdowns receptions covered at least 23 yards and he returned two kicks for scores.
Analysis
Positives: Slim build, but has the frame to add muscle mass without a significant loss of quickness Good initial burst off the snap to gain an advantage on the cornerback Good quickness out of his breaks and to generate separation Has the deep speed to challenge over the top Reliable hands Often used as a running option on reverses Has some wiggle to make defenders miss in space and has good acceleration Vision, burst and speed also evident as a kick returner.
Negatives: Slight frame, and many question how well it can hold up at the NFL level Has struggled to gain and maintain weight in the past despite efforts to do so Struggles to get a free release off the line of scrimmage against physical coverage, and can be knocked off his route too easily Missed time due to a partial tear of his left PCL, which will need further evaluation before the draft.
