Jurevicius starts season on PUP: The Cleveland Browns have placed WR Joe Jurevicius on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform (Reserve/PUP) list, the club announced Tuesday. Jurevicius will spend the first six weeks of the regular season on the Reserve/PUP list. During that time frame he will be able to attend meetings and continue his rehabilitation with the club in Berea, however, he will not be eligible to practice. After the sixth week, the Browns have a three-week window (Weeks 7-9) to allow Jurevicius to start practicing. League rules also stipulate that once a player begins to practice with the club, he will have another three week window from that starting date before the club has to make a decision on his roster status.

Jurevicius has been a useful Fantasy option in the past, but it's a good idea to leave him on the waiver wire in leagues in 2008. If he comes back in Week 6 -- which is a big if at this point with his knee injury -- then see how he does and consider adding him off the waiver wire.
