Boller was the first man behind center in seven-on-seven drills, and Smith led the nine-on-nine drills. All three overthrew receivers and looked out of sync at times. Head coach John Harbaugh is reserving judgement before he has the entire squad on the field Friday, even if he is still gathering information. "I think [the evaluation] starts Friday, really," he said walking off the field. "And of course we say that it doesn’t start today and we say that it’s hard to evaluate, but of course you’re standing there and you’re watching guys make plays and watching them handle the offense. Smith and Boller are nothing more than desperation options as one-week replacements while Flacco has potential to be a big-armed passer in the future.
