DT Watson breaks kneecap: The Arizona Republic reports that Cardinals DT Gabe Watson fractured a kneecap in an offseason treadmill accident and is not a lock to be at 100 percent for the start of training camp in July. "The thing that's disappointing is that Gabe has shown such great progress and he's getting it," coach Ken Whisenhunt said. "Just the fact that he was working to get himself in shape after he had done his workout here is a testament to him. One thing that's an advantage for him is that he's in such better shape at this point than he's ever been in, it gives him a much greater chance at getting back quickly." (Updated 04/16/2008).
Injury Report
Knee - Questionable for the start of 2008 training camp (Updated - 4/16/08)
Fantasy Analysis
Watson is a wide-bodied defensive tackle who will do more to help his teammates accumulate stats by crashing the line of scrimmage than anything else. Unless he somehow turns into a run-stuffing machine, do not expect him to be a contributor in IDP leagues. (Updated 04/16/2008).
NT Gabe Watson was placed on the Active/physically unable to perform list. He is recovering from a fractured kneecap suffered while running on a treadmill during the offseason, but told the East Valley Tribune that he weighs 323 pounds and hopes to be ready for the start of the season. 07/24/2008
