White has new quarterback: Falcons WR Roddy White got a new quarterback when Atlanta used the No. 3 overall selection on rookie Matt Ryan in the 2008 NFL Draft. But White will probably still have Chris Redman or Joey Harrington as his quarterback this season. It's unlikely that Ryan will open mini-camp with the No. 1 offense. Redman and Harrington are currently listed as Atlanta's first- and second-string quarterbacks, and the Falcons are likely to bring Ryan along slowly. No one know how long before Ryan takes charge of the offense, but new coach Mike Smith believes the team's new centerpiece will have a short learning curve. "Matt is a very passionate football player," Smith said. "In the NFL, the last two to three minutes are crunch time, and that's when games are won and lost. You can see Matt's passion and how he brought his team back to victory. That's the kind of player we want on our football team." (Updated 04/28/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Don't expect White to lose too much Fantasy value in 2008 depending on who his quarterback is. If he can thrive with Redman and Harrington, he would do fine with a rookie. Still think of White, who caught 83 passes for 1,202 yards (14.5 avg.) and six touchdowns with five 100-yard games in 2007, as a low-end No. 2 Fantasy WR in 2008 drafts. (Updated 04/28/2008).
WR Roddy White, who missed most of OTAs with a hamstring injury, is healthy and will be able to fully participate in all drills once training camp opens. 07/17/2008

Finding a player who is going from good to great is what all Fantasy owners want going into the season. Our Jamey Eisenberg highlights a list of breakout players for 2008 that should help you on draft day.
Sure, drafting who scores the touchdowns and racks up the most yardage goes a long way to winning a Fantasy title, but finding the guys who are the focal points of their offense is vital. Jamey Eisenberg breaks down all of the red zone and target data from the last three seasons.
Fantasy owners are unsure what to do about Brett Favre at this point. Our Jamey Eisenberg says you still have to draft him and takes a look at how Favre might do if he leaves the Packers in 2008.
