Bills rookie WR Hardy allegedly beat his father, pulled gun

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- A woman called police saying Buffalo Bills rookie wide receiver James Hardy was beating up his father and had pulled a gun when she yelled for him to stop.

The witness told officers she called out for Hardy to stop after hearing a loud noise in the back yard about 1:30 p.m. Sunday, according to a city police report.

Fort Wayne police spokesman Michael Joyner said Tuesday no charges were filed because Hardy was gone when officers arrived and Hardy's father did not want to press charges.

The police report quoted the elder Hardy as saying his son has a lot of anger toward him because he was in prison when his son was young.

Neither Hardy nor his agent, Eugene Parker, immediately responded to phone messages seeking comment.

The 6-foot-6 receiver left Indiana a year early to enter the NFL Draft and was picked by the Bills in the second round last month.

None of you know the history of him and his father and suddenly you want him cut from the team.   Maybe his dad is a scumbag and wanted to suddenly enter his life when he became an NFL player.   I'm not condoning pulling th gun,  but give Hardy a chance!!

The guy's in the NFL now...don't screw it up by doing things like this.  If your dad pisses you off -- don't hang around him...go workout & get ready for the season!

Man this one stings for me as I am a fan of the Bengals too and now I have to read this garbage.  The Bill are finally turning the corner and then this bozo who has all the potential in the world pulls a gun?  on his father none the less.  This is something I expect from a Bengal but not a Bill.

it was his dad what is the big problem.  This happens at the time.  Atlest it was not a all of this for his dad.  Atlest he did not do this to a woman or some ramdom person. His dad was asking him for money. Now because he has it.
