The Charlotte Bobcats retained former first-round pick Jared Dudley on Wednesday. Dudley will make about $1.1 million in the 2009-10 season, the first of two option years the Bobcats hold for the 22nd pick in the 2007 draft.

Oklahoma City Thunder rookie D.J. White will be sidelined for four-to-six months while his jaw heals from surgery. The team said Wednesday that doctors removed a benign growth this week. The 6-foot-9 forward from Indiana will have another procedure in about six weeks in which a bone graft from his hip will be used to mend his jaw.

Bogut's double-double leads Bucks

Golden State fell to Milwaukee in China on Wednesday in exhibition action and Warriors SG Kelenna Azubuike led the team in scoring in 36 minutes off the bench. Azubuike dropped 24 points on 8-of-17 shooting with two threes. He grabbed seven rebounds, dished two assists, stole a ball and blocked a shot in the game.

Bell's heel keeping him out

Telfair gets 3-game suspension

Minnesota Timberwolves PG Sebastian Telfair has been suspended three games for pleading guilty to criminal possession of a weapon. Telfair was sentenced last month to three years probation. He was arrested in April 2007 when police found him carrying a loaded gun in his car while he was a member of the Boston Celtics. The Celtics traded him to Minnesota in the deal for Kevin Garnett, and Telfair had a solid and incident-free first season in Minnesota. He signed a three-year, $7.5 million deal this summer to remain with the Timberwolves. He is the top backup to starter Randy Foye. Telfair will miss home games against Sacramento and Dallas and a road game at Oklahoma City. His first game back will be Nov. 5 against San Antonio.
