Texas Hold 'Em:
Each player is dealt two cards, known as the "hole cards," face-down. The first round of betting occurs, starting with the player to the left of the dealer. Players must decide for the first time if they are in or out.
Players can call, raise or fold. After the first round of betting is complete, the dealer discards, or "burns," the top card off the deck, (to ensure no one has seen the top card,) and then turns the next three cards face-up on the table. These cards are known as "the flop."
The next round of betting follows starting with the player to the left of the dealer, and once again players can call, raise or fold. The dealer then burns the top card off deck, turns over the next community card -- "the turn" -- and players bet for the third time.
Finally, the dealer burns the top card for the last time and turns over the last community card, "the river." At this point, players determine their best five-card hand using their seven total cards -- their two face-down cards and the five community cards.
All cards are revealed, and the best five-card combination wins the pot.
Omaha Hold 'Em:
Each player receives four face-down cards followed by the first round of betting. Just as in Texas Hold'em, five community cards are dealt after top cards are burnt, and betting always begins with the player to the left of the dealer.
Once again, the first three cards are "the flop," the next card is the "the turn," and the last community card is "the river." Betting occurs after each: "the flop," "the turn," and "the river."
Omaha Hold'em differs from Texas Hold'em in that players must then use two of the four cards in their hand and three community cards to make the best five-card combination.
Five-Card Draw:
Five Card Draw can be played by three to six players. Each player is dealt five cards face-down. After the deal, there is a betting round beginning with the player to the left of the dealer. Players are then able to trade up to three cards with the deck. Players bet again, and then reveal their five-card hands.
