Idaho to introduce Utah State's Verlin as head coach

Idaho is set to introduce Utah State assistant Don Verlin as its next basketball coach, a source has told CBSSports.com.

An official announcement is expected Monday.

A longtime assistant to Stew Morrill, Verlin just completed his 10th season at Utah State. He graduated from Cal State Stanislaus in 1991 and subsequently earned a master's degree from Colorado State, where he later served as an assistant coach.

Verlin, 42, will replace George Pfeifer at Idaho.

Pfeifer went 12-48 in two seasons.
