St. Francis (Pa.) men's coach Jones resigns after nine seasons

 

LORETTO, Pa. -- Bobby Jones resigned Monday after nine seasons as men's basketball coach at St. Francis (Pa.) University.

Jones, a former assistant at Pittsburgh, had an 85-167 record at the Northeast Conference school. The Red Flash were 6-23 last season, 8-21 in 2006-07 and 4-24 in 2005-06 after reaching the conference tournament for three consecutive seasons.

St. Francis, located 80 miles east of Pittsburgh, has played in the NCAA tournament once (1991) during its 95 years of basketball.
