THE GOOD NEWS
Romain Martin, who averaged 13.6 points per game before being sidelined with an injury returns. The 2007 OVC Freshman of the Year will be the centerpiece of the Panther attack. Sophomore F Tyler Laser will provide the Panthers a solid second option.

THE BAD NEWS
Finding replacements to join Martin on the perimeter could be tenuous with Wilhite, Anthony, and Catchings all graduating. Coach Mike Miller could be on the rocks if the Panthers have another shaky start like the one to the 2007-08 season.

KEY RETURNEES
G Romain Martin (13.6 ppg, 1.2 apg), F Tyler Laser (7.4 ppg, 2.0 rpg), F/C Ousmane Cisse (5.8 ppg, 5.8 rpg).

ROSTER REPORT

--Senior Jake Byrne wrapped up his career in style for the Panthers. The 6-foot-8 C averaged 23 points and 10 rebounds per game over his final two games -- both EIU victories. For his efforts, Byrne was named OVC Player of the Week.

--Senior G Julio Anthony finished the season as the OVC's leading free-throw shooter. Anthony connected on 75-of-82 free tosses on the season, good for a 91.5 percent average.
