HOW THEY GOT HERE
In a 61-45 win over Miami, the Golden Hurricane got 22 points from senior PG Brett McDade, but it also got a strong defensive performance, holding the RedHawks to .357 shooting from the floor and .176 from 3-point range.

THEY'LL ADVANCE IF...: C Jerome Jordan and F Calvin Walls control the boards and make the most of their offensive opportunities and McDade keeps the offense moving in the right direction.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"A lot of teams that don't make it to the NCAA Tournament can be reluctant to keep playing. The guys are just hungry and happy to play another game. We're happy to play at home." -- Tulsa senior point guard Brett McDade, on the first-round CBI win over Miami (Ohio).
