THE GOOD NEWS
The Mocs could likely start an all-senior starting five next year, with Keyron Sheard and Kevin Goffney joining the starters at point guard and small forward, respectively. The newness of the junior-college transfers that came in this year will be gone, with a seven-man senior class bringing an urgency to the Mocs' play.

THE BAD NEWS
The team will be missing a couple of senior leaders from this year, meaning some players will have to step into new roles. The team's problems defensively aren't just going to go away. The team must focus more on defense rather than just trying to outscore everyone.

KEY RETURNEES
All-conference selections Nicchaeus Doaks and Stephen McDowell will lead the way offensively for the team. Doaks has already stepped forward as a vocal leader for the team. Getting Khalil Hartwell back and healthy from a torn ACL will help the team's depth as well.

ROSTER REPORT

--F Nicchaeus Doaks established himself as one of the top players in the Southern Conference heading into 2008-09, ranking in the league's top 10 in scoring (14.1 ppg) and top five in rebounding (7.1).

--G Kevin Bridgewaters was one of the top shooters from the free-throw line in 2007-08, hitting 77.7 percent of his attempts to rank seventh in the Southern Conference

--G Stephen McDowell finished second in the Southern Conference in 3-pointers per game, connecting on 3.48 per contest.
