THE GOOD NEWS
The Golden Eagles have a solid post player to build around next season in Daniel Northern, and sophomore sharpshooter Frank Davis returns. Davis and sophomore Will Barnes should give TTU a quality backcourt. Coach Mike Sutton is a good recruiter and there is no reason to believe he won't bring in a quality class in 2008.

THE BAD NEWS
The Golden Eagles lose two all-league players in senior guard Anthony Fisher, who averaged more than 17 points a game, and senior forward Amadi McKenzie, who averaged more than 14 points and eight rebounds a game.

KEY RETURNEES
Junior C Daniel Northern averaged almost 13 points and more than nine rebounds a game, while sophomore guard Frank Davis hit a team-high 67 3-pointers. Sophomore guard Will Barnes also showed promise late in the year.

ROSTER REPORT

--TTU returns 10 of its 13 players next year, although it loses 38 points a game in G Anthony Fisher, F Amadi McKenzie and G Rashaud Nixon.

--TTU shot 215 more free throws than its opponents in 2007-08 but made just 65 percent.
