FINAL RECORD
12-19, 4-14, sixth place in Sun Belt East.

WHAT WENT RIGHT
The Trojans didn't win many games, let alone big ones, but they didn't give up either and proved it by winning at fifth-seeded Louisiana-Lafayette in the first round of the Sun Belt tournament.

WHAT WENT WRONG
The Trojans continue to depend primarily on the 3-pointer, but when their perimeter shots didn't fall, they struggled to do the other things right -- particularly defense and rebounding. For a team with four seniors, Troy wasn't a very solid or fundamental team.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"Sooner is better than later. I love Trojan Arena. It was great 40 years ago. Today, we need a better facility. ... We'll probably start with champagne tastes of everything we would like to have on a beer budget and somewhere between the two will be the reality." -- Troy University chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, on Troy's pursuit of a new arena or a major reconstruction job. Troy has updated both its football and baseball stadiums in recent seasons and seen an improvement in both on-field success and attendance.
