FINAL RECORD
29-7, 16-2, second in Sun Belt East.

WHAT WENT RIGHT
The Hilltoppers pulled all of their varying skills and talents together, finished strong, won the Sun Belt Tournament, beat Drake and San Diego in the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament and came back from a poor first half to challenge top-seeded UCLA in the Sweet 16.

WHAT WENT WRONG
The Hilltoppers often struggled with consistency inside and had to deal with the loss of solid senior forward Mike Walker over the final month of the season.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"I think the (South Carolina) job has huge potential. And not much different from coming to Western Kentucky, I think the focus has to be on what the positives are and how we move forward and setting the standard, then starting from Day One of laying the foundation and building the foundation just like we did at Western Kentucky, to put yourself in position to compete at a high level. Obviously, the league helps with that quite a bit." -- Coach Darrin Horn, who left Western Kentucky in the days after the Hilltoppers' Sweet 16 run ended to take the top job at South Carolina in the SEC.
