Mack signs with Heat after spending last season in IBL, CBA

MIAMI -- Sam Mack signed Friday with the Miami Heat after spending last season out of the NBA.

A 6-foot-7, 212-pound swingman, Mack has averaged 8 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists during his NBA career with San Antonio, Houston, Vancouver and Golden State.

Mack has shot 40.4 percent from the field, 83.4 percent from the foul line and 37.8 percent from 3-point distance.

Mack, 31, spent last season in the International Basketball League and Continental Basketball Association with Grand Rapids where he averaged 13.2 points a game.

The Heat did not reveal terms of the agreement.
