The Ripken Museum is a place where people from all places
and pursuits can come to share in the remarkable lives of Cal Sr., Cal Jr.,
and Bill. It is a place where the young and the old of today...and for
generations to come...can experience and benefit from the extraordinary legacy
and traditional values of the Ripken family.
Located in City Hall of the Ripkens' hometown, Aberdeen, Maryland (see map) the museum is filled with fascinating memorabilia from the careers of Cal, Sr., Cal, Jr., and Bill. The first phase of the museum features displays and memorabilia, some of which are on loan from Cal Jr., other members of the Ripken family, close Ripken friends and fans. Beginning in Spring of 1996, the museum will be open to the public. A unique gift shop of Ripken memorabilia will be available for sale to visitors. But, more than baseballs and bats, The Ripken Museum embodies the amazing spirit of a family that truly exemplifies a sense of loyalty, dedication and perserverance...a spirit that many had thought no longer existed in the game of baseball, or in life itself.
It is the hope of those whose vision created The Ripken
Museum that visitors will take a piece of that spirit with them as an enrichment
of their own lives. We welcome donations and loans of additional Ripken
memorabilia or funding to support the growth of that mission. If you would
like to make a donation, please email The Ripken Museum or write us at:
