Talented all-purpose performer completed an outstanding final season in the Pac 10 earning first team All-Pac honors for his effort. Northcutt set a new Arizona career reception mark with 195 catches as a three-year starter. He may have been the most productive offensive player in the nation during the '99 season, combining big play ability as both a receiver and return specialist. As a senior, he caught 88 passes for 1,422 yards and 8 TDs for a 16-yard average plus he lead the nation in punt return average.

As a junior, he totaled 63 catches for 922 yards and 6 TDs and third in the conference in all-purpose yardage with almost 150 yards per game. Despite his smaller size, he is not afraid to go over the middle and shows the ability to go up and make the tough catch. He is better on the perimeter where his quickness and running skills allow him to isolate in single coverage. He is very quick coming out of his cuts and creates consistent separation from defenders with the deceptive speed to get behind the secondary. He has fine athletic skills with the ability to adjust to the ball and make the tough catch. He has soft reliable hands that have allowed him to become a top receiver and one of the most consistent return specialists in the nation.

As a senior, he averaged 18.9 yards per punt return, combining quickness and surprising strength as a specialist. He has the uncanny ability to make tacklers miss, using his quick feet and jukes to create openings in the open field. He has good speed and excellent elusiveness that allows him to be dangerous as a runner after he get his hands on the ball. He has the ability to get off the line, showing nice upper body strength for a smaller receiver.

He will be a great addition to any offense with his running skills his best asset. He is similar to the Bears' Bobby Engram in size, athleticism and positional skills. Solid athlete with big play ability. Fine top 100 prospect with playmaking talent to help immediately as a returner and 3rd receiver.
