Small college burner possesses the extra gear to make things happen as either a receiver or return specialist. Dixon had an excellent final season after sitting out the '98 campaign.

He has quickness, speed and sudden speed to be a playmaker in several roles. He can accelerate through an opening with the long range speed to run away from defenders. He is a good kickoff returner, showing the quick burst of speed, fine vision and good strength to break the play.

He shows sure hands and running skills after the catch, though he needs to refine many areas such as route running and coverage recognition to see time in that role as a pro.

He has the explosiveness to break any play though, which will get him attention in this draft. Though he is strictly a developmental receiver with the tools to make the jump from the NAIA, his value early in his career will be at the kickoff return position. His speed and running skills give him a solid make it grade.
