This two-year starter finished with a fine senior season, leading the Cardinal to the Rose Bowl. Husak has made big play after big play during his junior and senior years that elevated a weak Stanford club back to prominence. He has a nice touch on his passes and throws a catchable pass that allows receivers to make plays on the ball. He displays the poise and leadership necessary to direct an offense, with the throwing skills to make plays. He has a smooth delivery with good footwork and adequate arm strength to challenge for an NFL position -- next summer.

As a senior, he threw for 2,698 yards with 18 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. His best game was against Arizona St., when he threw for 311 yards and 4 TDs, which earned Stanford its Rose Bowl bid. He had the luxury of throwing to a talented group of receivers in Troy Walters and DeRonnie Pitts.

He is a quality backup type who has gotten better in all phases of the game each season, especially his accuracy. He has shown the maturity to handle pressure, in addition to having a fine work ethic to improve in the film and weight room. Second day pick and a developmental type passer who needs further coaching and experience to refine his position skills to fully develop as a pro passer. He'd be a good addition to any team, but certainly not more than a third-stringer for a few seasons. Possible late pick, but most likely a FA with some talent in hope that he continues to improve.
