CLEVELAND (AP) DeSagana Diop, the Cleveland Cavaliers' first-round draft pick last year, had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Tuesday.

Diop, 20, is expected to recover by the start of training camp in October, general manager Jim Paxson said.

Diop, a 7-foot center, played little as a rookie, battling weight and injuries. In 18 games, he averaged 1.4 points.
