NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Final Four participant Oklahoma heads an eight-team field for the newfangled Coaches vs. Cancer Classic in November at Madison Square Garden.

The Sooners, who reached the national semifinals before losing to Indiana, will face NCAA Tournament entry Alabama on November 14 in "The World's Most Famous Arena."

The tournament historically has featured four teams, with the winners and losers of the opening-round games facing each other the following night. However, the tourney has been reworked, doubling the size of the field and playing four independent games.

The Oklahoma-Alabama game will be preceded by a Syracuse-Memphis matchup. On November 15, Villanova faces Marquette and Texas meets Georgia.

The entire four-game tournament will be televised by ESPN2.
